Plot

Follow a failed high school heavy metal band who take advantage of the town’s sudden interest in the occult to build a reputation as a satanic metal band, until a strange series of events triggers a witch hunt that leads to them. Def Lepard: Hysteria, KISS Heaven’s on Fire, Meatloaf Speaking in Tongues, Iron Maiden: Can I Play Crazy, Black Sabbath Die young, Danzig Mother, Queen and Dance Macabre Ghost.

This series perfectly captured the style of 1989, satanic panic and all old supernatural horror movies

I suspect that when the network saw the series, they had a few small shots that would have given a possible ending so they could do a second season. At least I hope so, but having lived through that time I can say they did very well.

Hats off to the producers, directors and screenwriters

Even though it’s not a comedy, I had to laugh at all the references to other movies in this genre that somehow reminded me of Stranger Things, but they cut back on the jump scares, nudity, gore, and extreme violence and still put on a good show. .

PS: The cast is consistently good and this is Brice Campbell’s second best role after Bubba Ho Tep. The final season of What We Do in the Shadows is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
